GuinotParisHistory
FOUNDER: RENE GUINOT In the 1920's, Renee Guinot, a chemical engineer, and his aesthetician wife began developing a skin care line that focused on deep cleansing and sensitive skin. By 1930 they realized that deep cleansing was the key to better absorption of active ingredients. Over several years Guinot developed his cellular life complex containing 56 biological active ingredients: 20 amino acids, 14 vitamins, 15 biologically active ingredients and 7 minerals and trace elements. Hence the LONGUE VIE line was developed.
A NEW COMPANY IS FORMED Word spread that Madame Guinot's Parisien beauty salon was using superior skin care products. In 1963 Guinot formally established the Renee Guinot Company to supply treatments and products to Parisien skin care salons. He continued to develop new treatments and products, but focused on the use of electrical current in treatment procedures. By 1965 Guinot had developed the Hydradermie machine which utilized galvanic current, ionization and high frequency current. The multi-step Hydradermie Treatment allowed for the deepest cleansing possible, deep penetration of skin specific gels, oxygenation and sanitization of the skin. Since 1965, the Hydradermie machine has been improved many times for more effective results.
THE NEXT GENERATION In 1972 Dr. Jean-Daniel Mondin, a pharmacist and chemist, bought Renee Guinot Company and changed the name to Guinot ~ Institut Paris. Since then, Dr. Mondin has developed advanced treatments like the Hydradermie Lift, which utilizes microcurrent for a non-surgical facelift, and TechniSpa for the treatment of cellulite.
As the company's product line advanced and the treatments became more complex, aestheticians wishing to use the Guinot line were required to go through training and certification from Guinot. This training is the same world wide to ensure consistancy in treatments for Guinot clients.
